Hiding something

Many times before I have had things that I have had to try and hide. Sometimes from only certain people too (which really sucks).
Today for example, is Abbi Beans birthday. Some friends and I really wanted to sing her happy birthday, but their teacher said he wanted to, I quote, "ruin her birthday". So it's kind of hard keeping it from her because I always tell her everything.
Usually when I do have a deep dark secret I keep it very close to me and only tell one person that I trust very much.

"How do you keep making the lights go on and off?" your pet might wonder.Write about you doing something in your house...from a pet's point of view.

My owners are strange but kind alien like things that love and care for me. I am always hungry and can never make up my mind if I want to go outside or stay in, but they are patient with me. I do not like one of the alien things. I think they are called people, but other "people" call this one "Trevor". He tortures me by locking me in his room and doesn't let me out! But there is a different one that I love very much, they call her "Lauren". She is very kind to me.

The other day I was very thirsty and I really don't enjoy drinking water out of a bowl, it has to be out of a bowl like thing called a "sink". Well I went to find "Lauren" so she could turn the contraption on. She was running up the stairs right as I got to her and so I waited for her at the top. When she neared the top, I signaled to her that I wanted something and I started walking towards the bathroom, but she just turned around and ran back down. I was confused but I just walked back to the top of the stairs hoping she would come back up. When she neared the bottom I started going down the stairs to follow her, but she just turned around again and ran back up the stairs! I thought she was coming for me, so I ran back up so she could turn on the water contraption. But right as she got to the top, she turned back around and ran down again! I had no idea what she was doing, because she repeated this maybe 10 or 12 times, each time not coming to my aid. I was getting frustrated when she finally mumbled something and ran back up the stairs and stood next to me. I ran to show her what I wanted, still boggled.

To this day I still don't know what she had been doing.

I have read many Edgar Allen Poe stories before, and the one that especially rings a bell is the "Fall of House Usher" (hopefully I'm thinking of the right one).

For some reason that one story sticks out to me. I didn't necessarily think it was horrifying, but it was more of a chiller. It was about a freaky old house and then sick people being mistaken for dead and then buried... alive. Then the dead person comes back to life and claims her brother. Turns out they were the only ones left of their family, Usher. Thus the fall of house Usher.

I enjoy Edgar Allen Poe, but I think that me, being exposed to horror movies and such, am not quite as scared as some people may have been or may be.

Have you ever studied a skunk's eyes? Write about some item you find beauty in that many others might not.

When people think of skunk, they usually think of a stinky disgrace to the forest or some rancid creature that takes pleasure in making other things just as foul smelling as they are. But, maybe we smell just as nasty as they do, and they think of us as strange aliens that smell badly.

When I think of a skunk, I don't necessarily think of the revolting smell. First I think of how cute a skunk actually is, because if you really think about it, if the skunk didn't smell so much like.... well a skunk then some people actually may like them. Kind of like cats.

A skunk is all black with the one racing stripe all the way down its back to the tip of its tail. That is probably my favorite part of a skunk, because its just so unusual. And even though skunks can be a pain... in the butt and nose, they are funny sometimes. One time I saw a skunk playing with a ball at my campsite when I was camping. It was quite funny.

Juliet

I am ecstatic that I have just married the love of my life. Today I could hardly keep calm because early this morning I did not know if I would be wed today or not. Nurse had to go find Romeo and ask him if he did want to marry me. She teased me mercilessly by not telling me if her would or not.

I have dreamed about falling in love and getting married when I was younger... But I never thought that I would feel like this. Romeo is so romantic and it was love at first sight. I love him tremendously.

Strangly though, I have a constant feeling that things will not end well... Like I have chosen my ultimate fate.

9th grade:Do you believe in Fate? Are there certain things in life that, once set in motion, are inevitable; things that cannot be stopped once they are started? The story of Romeo and Juliet implies that the path of their love and what happens to them is part of Fate's plan. Do you think this is possible?

Yes, anything is possible, although, things can change I think. For instance, if you are falling off a 100ft cliff you would believe that your fate is inevitable, but at the last moment you may grab a branch and save yourself.

I have seen movies though about fate that cannot be escaped. In the movie Final Destination people were set to die in a tragedy, but someone foresaw the tragedy and saved them all except there's one catch, death is coming after them once again to make sure that they die. So even though they escaped one incident, another one will follow until the job is done.

I believe that fate is real and there really are inevitable truths that we all have to face at some point in time. Dying is a great example of fate. It's something we all have to face, it is something that we cannot escape and it happens to everyone.

Juliet

Tonight my mother and father are having a party that I am particularly excited for. Earlier my mother asked me if I would consider marrying County Paris. He will be here tonight for the party so I am going to try to get to know Paris better.

I am not quite sure that I want to marry Paris, yet he is so handsome and rich. I guess if my parents would like me to marry him I shall. My mother and father love me dearly and I wouldn't want to do anything to disappoint them.

Who knows if I will marry Paris. Just thinking about it puts fluttering butterflies in my stomach. I wonder if he is the right one for me.

Define true love. Do you believe it exists?(Hint: have you ever seen it? give an example. Why do you believe/not believe in it?)

I do believe that true love exists, and I have seen it before. My parents are a great example of true love because they truly do love each other. They have been through very rough times together and they still love one another very much.

I am not quite sure about the "true love at first sight" because how could you love someone you don't even know? Or being "unconditionally" in love. Everything has conditions, I mean what if your boyfriend cheated on you? Wouldn't that change something?

When I get married I hope that it will be with a man that will stick with me through highs and lows, good times and bad times. A guy that will truly love me for who I am.
If you had one superpower, what would it be and why? (Hint: describe exactly what your power would be, why you would want that one, what you would use your power for, etc. Would you be good or evil? Would you use it just for fun or for a good cause?)

If I could have one superpower it would be to fly. I love flying in airplanes, and how exhilerating it would be if I could fly. I would fly everywhere and I would help people whenever I could. I would also fly my family and friends around and have fun.

If I had my choice of a second superpower it would be super speed. I love to run but I am not that fast. I could do so many awesome things if I had super speed.

I always wonder if there really are people out there that have super powers. It would be so cool if someone did, but it would probably be a lot of work especially if they were a super hero. That person would have to dedicate a ton of time. Maybe we all really do have super powers, we just don't know it.

9th Grade: What comes to your mind when you hear the words, "Now we're going to read Shakespeare!" Do you cringe in fear? Do you giggle with glee? What past experiences have you had with Shakespeare to make you react the way you do?

When I think of "Shakespear" I think of great poetry, long but captivating, pulling your mind deeper and deeper into a sea of pure drama. I am not quite sure that I would absolutely love the famous poetry of Shakespear, but I have become fond of some of his writing.

Just the word Shakespear can intimidate many people, for the works of Shakespear are very emotional and require a patient mind. The words also confuse many people because of the era they were written in. They especially confuse younger people for those reasons.

I think that now that I am a bit older, I may appreciate and understand his writings more. I hope that I will enjoy Romeo and Juliet as much as many people have before.

Random

Today, so far, I have been having a great day! And I am very happy because I have been keeping up with homework easily... I was so worried about going to highschool, because I was told I would be teased and everything was going to be very difficult, but it has been fun. So either I was very prepared for highschool.. Or I just have a lot coming for me!
