"How do you keep making the lights go on and off?" your pet might wonder.Write about you doing something in your house...from a pet's point of view.

My owners are strange but kind alien like things that love and care for me. I am always hungry and can never make up my mind if I want to go outside or stay in, but they are patient with me. I do not like one of the alien things. I think they are called people, but other "people" call this one "Trevor". He tortures me by locking me in his room and doesn't let me out! But there is a different one that I love very much, they call her "Lauren". She is very kind to me.

The other day I was very thirsty and I really don't enjoy drinking water out of a bowl, it has to be out of a bowl like thing called a "sink". Well I went to find "Lauren" so she could turn the contraption on. She was running up the stairs right as I got to her and so I waited for her at the top. When she neared the top, I signaled to her that I wanted something and I started walking towards the bathroom, but she just turned around and ran back down. I was confused but I just walked back to the top of the stairs hoping she would come back up. When she neared the bottom I started going down the stairs to follow her, but she just turned around again and ran back up the stairs! I thought she was coming for me, so I ran back up so she could turn on the water contraption. But right as she got to the top, she turned back around and ran down again! I had no idea what she was doing, because she repeated this maybe 10 or 12 times, each time not coming to my aid. I was getting frustrated when she finally mumbled something and ran back up the stairs and stood next to me. I ran to show her what I wanted, still boggled.

To this day I still don't know what she had been doing.

I have read many Edgar Allen Poe stories before, and the one that especially rings a bell is the "Fall of House Usher" (hopefully I'm thinking of the right one).

For some reason that one story sticks out to me. I didn't necessarily think it was horrifying, but it was more of a chiller. It was about a freaky old house and then sick people being mistaken for dead and then buried... alive. Then the dead person comes back to life and claims her brother. Turns out they were the only ones left of their family, Usher. Thus the fall of house Usher.

I enjoy Edgar Allen Poe, but I think that me, being exposed to horror movies and such, am not quite as scared as some people may have been or may be.

Have you ever studied a skunk's eyes? Write about some item you find beauty in that many others might not.

When people think of skunk, they usually think of a stinky disgrace to the forest or some rancid creature that takes pleasure in making other things just as foul smelling as they are. But, maybe we smell just as nasty as they do, and they think of us as strange aliens that smell badly.

When I think of a skunk, I don't necessarily think of the revolting smell. First I think of how cute a skunk actually is, because if you really think about it, if the skunk didn't smell so much like.... well a skunk then some people actually may like them. Kind of like cats.

A skunk is all black with the one racing stripe all the way down its back to the tip of its tail. That is probably my favorite part of a skunk, because its just so unusual. And even though skunks can be a pain... in the butt and nose, they are funny sometimes. One time I saw a skunk playing with a ball at my campsite when I was camping. It was quite funny.
