Honesty

I think that neither is more important than the other. You have to have a balance of both in order for things to work out well. For example, if a really ugly person came up to you and asked you if they were ugly, but they were beautiful on the inside, then it's okay to lie and tell them they are beautiful because it's what's on the inside that counts. That's kindness- wanting to protect their feelings because you care about them.
Some people are very honest, which is a good thing, but if you have no compassion for someone's feelings then it can be very bad. Although, people who are only a kind butt kisser kind of person who never tell the honest truth are very bad and very frowned upon. Like I said before, there must be a balance of both.
Just recently, one of my friends got suspended from school for talking badly about a teacher in front of the teacher's aid. She was in a lot of trouble, but to make things worse, she lied and said she never said any of it and got herself in a lot more trouble. Moral is- never talk badly about your teacher's in front of the teacher's aid and lying won't make things any better if you are in trouble.
